Meet Your Instructor
Jorge A. Gonzalez has spent 30 years in the petrochemical, refinery and heavy construction industries. He started as a boilermaker and API 1104 pipeline welder, became a rig combination welder (SMAW/GTAW), then moved into inspection and quality control as a Certified Welding Inspector, API inspector and QC supervisor.
Most recently he has served as Quality Control Manager on refinery turnarounds on the Texas Gulf Coast, an LNG offshore platform retrofit, and a 16-inspector project at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, qualifying WPS, PQR and welder qualifications and coordinating NDE to ASME, API, and AWS codes. Classes are taught in English and Spanish.
